Piece and Quilt Sampler QAL continues

The Celebrate with Quilts QAL continues. We are half way through so keep up the good work.

Susan Ache @yardgrl60 and I (@modalissa) had so much fun making a block book. We both love blocks and color so when Fat Quarter Shop wanted to do a QAL and choose the Piece and Quilt Sampler we were ecstatic. Each month, we will be making an assortment of blocks in varying sizes.

This month we will be making 3 different blocks.

Make 4 of the 9" Avenue block

Make 1 of the 9"Maple Leaf

Make 1 of the 6" and 9" Texas Puzzle block

Some of the blocks use stripes and plaids. I love adding a bit of geometric to the blocks for an added graphic feel. I never met a stripe I did not like and look how cute it is in the small blocks.

This block could be a fun quick quilt to make for a man in your life using flannels. This block is 9" so, 6 blocks by 8 blocks would make a quilt 54" x 72" before borders.

Feel free to add or substitute blocks along the way if you want. While quilting is so therapeutic and following along takes the stress out of decision making, feel free to mix it up a bit to make it your own.

Including a bit of eye candy here. This is another fun quilt in the book that can be done as a QAL or dive in and tackle it on your own. The quilt is named Land That I Love by Susan Ache.
